Catford Mews Comedy Club March

Come down to the mews to watch 6 up and coming comedians for great night of jokes and laughter on Thursday 5 March 2020. Tickets £5 available from the Catford Mews box office. Invite a friend, get a drink at the bar, and settle down for a night of live entertainment at your favourite community venue in Catford. The comedians performing on the night are:

Junior Booker: Junior is a young and charismatic comedian from South London who has been doing well at comedy clubs across the UK over the last few years. Junior has recently performed at the South London Comedy festival.

JoJo Georgiou: “Shameless. Very likeable. Great energy”, Funny’s Funny. “Texan stand up with bite”, Funny Women. JoJo has been working the London Comedy circuit since 2009. Before then, JoJo was a comedian in Texas, where she presented a morning talk show in Dallas. “The Texas Tornado wreaks havoc on London. Not since Bush’s last out-of-town bender has there been so much lunacy and carnage. Sedated and disarmed, she still takes comedy hostages. Laugh at your own risk!”, TNT Comedy Club. @JojoComedian

Paul Merryck: “The Essex bloke is something of a geezer … plenty of showbiz patter… gag-focussed delivery… high laugh rate… you’d think that the spirit of Mike Reid is alive and well” Steve Bennett – Chortle, July 2018. Paul gets “laughs for relatable gags about his love of drinking and breakdown of his third marriage, told with plenty of self-deprecation”. Paul has recently completed a run of his show “Local businessman unrepentant”.

Katie Prichard: Katie is an actor, comedian, writer and musician. “An explosion of joyful lunacy”, Stuart Goldsmith. “Inventive and hilarious”, Broadway Baby. “Always original and entertaining ****”, Female Arts Magazine. “Katie Pritchard is a veritable Sizewell B”, Chortle. @katiepritchards

Pete White: Not-so-new Comedian of the year Finalist, 2019. “His unwavering pride in his wordplay … is infectious. … you can’t help but admire the craft of his linguistic trickery which is sure to catch you out”, Chortle. @Petewhitepuns1

Jenan Younis: BBC New Voices 2019 runner up. 99 Comedy Club 2018 finalist. “Sharp, hip, smart comedian – not to be missed!” The List. “Unique viewpoint” Chortle. “Witty, dry current humour” The Monday Club. “Sharp wit and satire” The Hip Hop Magazine.

The MC for the night will be Chris Douce. “Strong jokes delivered. Chris has potential and I’d see him again.”, Compass Comedy Review. Golden Jester semi-finalist.

Doors open 7.30pm. The show will start at 8pm and run until 10.15pm.
