Come down to the Mews to watch 6 up and coming comedians for great night of jokes and laughter on Thursday 1 July 2021 at 8.00pm. Tickets £6.50 available from the Catford Mews box office. Invite a friend, get a drink at the bar, and settle down for a night of live entertainment at your favourite community venue.

To enforce social distancing, ticket numbers will be strictly limited. Please book early to avoid disappointment.

The comedians performing on the night are:

Sikisa Bostwick-Barnes: Finalist in the BBC new comedian award 2017 and has recently performed on the Jonathan Ross show. “Performing under just her first name, or by the stage name Twix, Bostwick-Barnes is from London. After graduating from Kingston University with a degree in law, she now works in the charity sector.” Hilarious, high energy and a whole lot of fun.

Kitty Cassis: A raucous romp through the world of beauty treatments, astrology and a nostalgic anecdote for every occasion. An accomplished character comedian & actor, Aimee Cooper has been a regular fixture on the London and Brighton variety scene. She has also recently started her own night, ‘Bits & Bobs’ bringing the best comedy & cabaret to Tunbridge Wells.” Expected with be drawn into a fascinating world of the unusual.

Dave Chawner: Dave is a stand-up comedian, writer and mental health campaigner who has appeared on BBC, ITV & Channel 4. Heard on Radio 1, Radio 2 and Radio 4. He is also a number one best-selling author, award-winning comic and BBC presenter. ‘Thank goodness for Dave; he tells his invaluable story with humour and tongue in cheek charm…hilariously entertaining’ – The Mail on Sunday. ‘His upbeat delivery and candid confessions make for an enjoyable, and sometimes enlightening, hour’ – Steve Bennett, Chortle.

Luca Cupani: Luca Cupani is an Italian comedian. In 2014 he moved from Italy to London, where he discovered the world of stand-up comedy. His first ever gig was in February 2014 at the Gong Show of the London Comedy Store, which he won. In 2015 he also won ‘So You Think You’re Funny?’ at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Luca appeared at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal and has taken part in the Seattle and San Francisco International Comedy Competitions.

Tom Mayhew: Tom’s material is about being working-class. He mixes the personal and the political, with the punchline-rate of a one-liner comic. His 2019 Edinburgh show I, Tom Mayhew, received 4 and 5 star reviews across the board, and transferred to a sell-out Soho Theatre run. Tom adapted this show for his own radio series – Tom Mayhew is Benefit Scum – which aired on BBC Radio 4 in March 2021.“‘Mayhew is passionate, articulate and – above all else – hilarious.”

Peter Merre: Peter is an established BBC Radio comedy writer and regular talkSPORT and SOCCER AM guest. A self-proclaimed football enthusiast and topical comedian, he has written shows for both the Edinburgh and Brighton Festivals. Peter is founder and MC of the Comedy Beast night. Peter is considered to be self-deprecating, sharp and always fun.

The MC for the night will be Chris Douce with Peter Merre. “Strong jokes delivered. Chris has potential” Compass Comedy Review. Golden Jester semi-finalist.

Doors open 7.30pm. The show will start at 8.00pm and run until 10.30pm
